The corridor eventually leads into a medium-sized room with a deep pool of water across the middle. An amount of miscellaneous objects floats on the water and with skill and luck, you could conceivably jump across them to the other side. However, to make matters worse, you can see bolts of lightning and sparks play every few seconds on the water surface, leading you to believe that the whole pool is electrified.

There is also a rope extending across the pool at some height.

This is obviously another test to determine whether you are worthy of accessing the Gate. It may be lethal but both of these options are viable alternatives if you are lucky or have adequate Abilities.

Use the floating stuff to get across the pool. (Fast, more dangerous)

Use the rope to get across the pool. (Slow, safer)
