Tears flow from Sooth Silver's eyes. "I deserve it, right? I didn't mean to doom everyone to death, I thought they would adapt and that the Primaeval Threat would have made us better."
She paused, "it would never work out, would it?"

You walk over to Phi, check that she is stabilized and put her on your back. "Do you know the story of lord Shadowstream?"

She shook her head.

"You are getting off easy compared to him. You see, lord Prism, the mythical ruler of light, was similar to you in many respects. He was jealous of the other lords and angry that people did not appreciate his fractal lights. This inside anger combined with his elemental power transformed him into the wicked lord Shadowstream who brought about eternal night.

"People could not survive it in the long term. Yet he didn't care - night after night, he cast new creations into the night sky and hoped that they would come to appreciate it but they did not. They withered instead.

"In the end, the god Aldur, having exhausted all other options, harvested a power known as the Base Elements - or the Six Core Traits as the Ancients would call them -, and exiled him permanently in the moon."

Sooth Silver said, "and that's he who we see in the moon every night? But that would make him over a thousand years old."

"So he is," you say, "for attempting to bring eternal night, he was imprisoned for an eternity with no company. You will at least get a dungeon."

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry," said Sooth Silver as you went up the stairs, back to the surface. "I was blinded. Worse still, selfish. I didn't do this for mankind, I did to fulfil my own desires."

"Sunspear,... is prison life exciting?"
