The footsteps grow steadily closer and finally the creature enters the room. It's tripedal golem, two meters tall and heavily armored. It doesn't notice you, though, so you have some options left.

This golem is very likely a guardian of this place. It is, however, just an artificial construct and with some skill, you may be able to convince it that you are its rightful master. You are unlikely to damage it in direct combat, but it might be possible to find a fatal weakness if you look close enough.
