The mighty Ancient Pyramid towers before you. It is a stepped pyramid with a single entrance, a massive stone gate that now stands wide ajar. The intruder you are chasing must have already found a way to get in and left the door open. There is not much time and you must follow as fast as you can before he can wreak any damage on the pyramid.

The following thing is an Additional Information Box for the Knowledge ability. If you have Knowledge, you may click on it to expand it and you will receive additional information without leaving this page. If you don't have Knowledge, it will be displayed in grayscale and while you may still expand it, that is considered cheating. In Strict Mode, you won't even see the following box:

You recall that the Ancients were an old race that predated the current humans' origins on this planet. Their appearance is a mystery lost to time but history books say they were a race of inventors with little reliance on magic. They lived in the land that is now Lonaelon for thousands of years, leaving hundreds of ruins behind them but all traces of their kind disappear roughly five thousand years ago.

The following things are Action Buttons. Use them to advance the story. Some buttons are marked with the name of an ability. You should only use these buttons if you learned the appropriate ability. In Strict Mode, you won't see these options at all.

You are on a clock! Options usually exclude each other. That is, even if you have all three options available now, you cannot choose to search the tracks first and then climb. You only have time to do one.


Enter the pyramid.
Perception: If you know Perception, you may attempt to find tracks of the one who preceded you.
Or you may instead climb to a window over the main entrance.


Strict Mode (In Strict Mode, the game will not show you options that require a skill you do not have. In non-strict mode, these options will be greyed out but you can still cheat and access them. You can switch modes at any time.)
